Elevator Smoke Containment

Per IBC §3006.2 “Elevator hoistway door openings shall be protected in accordance with Section 3006.3 where an elevator hoistway connects more than three stories is required to be enclosed within a shaft enclosure in accordance with Section 712.1.1”

We offer 2 options for elevators: GX smoke curtain with transparent material and Fire-rated smoke curtain SD with 3-hour fire rated material.

Both curtains allow elevator doors to open directly into the corridor, eliminating the need for an enclosed elevator lobby in accordance with Item 3, section 3006.3 of the IBC.
