Smoke Curtains

Smoke Curtains prevent fire and smoke from transferring from one part of a building to another.

It is ideally suited for elevator hoistways, atrium separations, and other openings that can lead to rapid smoke migration. Smoke protective Curtains offer a hidden layer of protection to open up building design possibilities. In the event of a fire, the electrically actuated curtain simply lowers upon receiving a signal from a smoke or fire detection system to seal off an opening.

Louvered ventilators and UL listed fail-safe window operators allow windows and doors to be used as make-up air and exhaust in atrium smoke exhaust systems.  Operable windows and air-intake louvers can supplement make-up air volume. Fail-safe motorized windows connect to the fire alarm control panel with position monitoring and endpoint feedback.  Please contact Fire Curtain Technologies for more information on the capabilities of these systems.
